I'm taking a little break from work right now. For the next few weeks I will not be working regular hours.

Karen and I are expecting a baby and tomorrow is her due date. It may be another week or so before the baby is born... or maybe not...

I want to help steer you in the right direction while I'm unavailable. First of all, if you're flexible enough to work with my schedule, I may be able to help you. I'm going to be working a little bit, so I might as well work for you. Also, i'd be happy to try to answer a few questions. Call my cell phone, 602-3816.

I now operate by appointment. Give me a call and we'll meet up at my store or at your place. My store is located below Borders in the Cannery Mall.

This site is getting really out of date. Go ahead and read it for fun but don't rely on the advice. Give me a call and we can discuss what's current.

I currently (September 2008) like:
*Desktop computers built by Rix Computer Magic. I currently use Asus M3A-series motherboards; AMD dual, triple, or quad core processors; PC Power and Cooling power supplies; Crucial memory; and F-Secure Internet Security. I use the best parts I can find. For low-end computers I use Asus P5-series motherboards and Intel dual core processors. I do not use Celeron or Sempron processors. I like Asus flat-panel monitors.

*Dell Vostro and Inspiron desktops - cheap computers for people with simple computer needs. These simple computers are also probably adequate to buy several of for an office, but please consider your choices carefully in such a situation (and give me a call).

*Laptops - Asus, Lenovo, and Toshiba make good laptops. Even with these brands my advice is to look at the more expensive models (try to compare prices with similar configurations of CPUs, RAM, etc.). It is difficult for me to recommend a good laptop, but I can tell you this: do NOT buy an HP DV-series or a Dell Inspiron laptop. They are flimsy. Dell Vostro laptops might be good; I liked their older ones.
